The Littles

One of the largest weaknesses for me as a mom is not capturing the day to day moments enough. I have a favorite blog by Kelle Hampton, and the reason I LOVE her blog so much is because she truly seems to SOAK in those moments. I wish I had a little more of this...if only I had a maid ;) But really, I think it is my own fault. I get so wrapped up in everything else that needs done, that I don't pause enough to capture them...
Anyway, here are some of those moments of the family...
Maisy and Gianna were playing nativity ;) Precious!
The girls both grabbed Jes during his work day ;) to dance with them. They love playing Cinderella and naming him Prince Charming...too cute. I am so glad he humors them!
And no dance is complete without bowing and curtseying!
LOVE zoo pictures...
haha! Yes, those are skirts on their heads!!
She crawled in here all by herself to read ;) Sooo cute...

Another Sweet Evelynn Moment

While Lydia was eatting, Evelynn just couldn't wait to come cuddle with her baby sister. I wish I could just bottle up the way she says Lydia...I hope I remember the sound of it forever ;)

St. Patrick's Day

We are Irish...so naturally we are supposed to have a love for St. Patrick's Day, right?! Well, until we can once again truly enjoy going out, just the two of us, to enjoy green beer, I can convince Jes to go with me to the Delano District's parade! Jes cannot stand parades, but he loves me ;) So he went with us. My mom is like me, she loves an excuse for a parade, so she met us there (on her wedding anniversary ;). I must say, in my opinion though, when you are couped up indoors with kids, you will take any excuse to do something fun with the kids...especially when it's free! My mom also likes to bring fun accessories, like this hat ;)

and these glasses ;)

Proof that the baby was there!

And we ran into the Ormistons! They like good excuses for free kids things as well ;)

She is quite the drama queen these days ;) Which can be a good thing...

or it can be a bad thing ;) These next several pictures are the fruit of TRYING to get a terrible two-year-old and a trying three-year-old to take a picture on YOUR watch ;) according to your own will...HA! There are only about, hmmm, seven pictures between the first one here and the last one I have shown?!! Toddlers ;)

Gianna's stitches

We have had a rough time since the baby was born...between flu, colds, allergies, teething of molars, adjusting to a new baby, 3 am feedings, overtime with work, and of course Gianna's stitches.

She has just finished a bath on Saturday morning, went into her room wrapped in a towel, tripped and fell eye first into a knob on her dresser. We went into MEO, and it took Jes, myself, the doctor and a nurse holding her down to get a local INTO the wound...she was screaming...it was awful... She finally cut loose just before the rest of the local was in. The doctor thought it would be okay, but she definitely felt the two stitches closest to her nose. Poor thing...it was just horrible. She didn't even wanting us to change a bandaid. This was the first picture a couple days after the stitches...it took Jes almost an hour to get the bandaid off to get her into the tub (wanting to make sure it wasn't infected), because of the association with the pain from getting the stitches. It then took us another hour to take the stitches out a week after they went it. Jes and I did it ourselves, for fear that she would HATE going to the doctor ever again if we had to go back for the removal. However, she put up QUITE the fight...

They are now gone, thank goodness, but it also took a while to wean from the bandaid...she still talks about the injury frequently...yuck...

Week One with Lydia

These are some of the sweet moments captured of the girls and Lydia ;) All the kids LOVE her. Maisy has always been very maternal, and she is such a blessing. Chase loves her as well, and will ask if I need him to help hold her or pick her up ;) It's quite cute. He seems a little embarrassed to just ask to hold her outright, thinking it might be seen as 'uncool', so he disguises it as trying to help...we play along! Gianna is not as interested in holding, but loves her tremendously...she always talks about how cute she is, she will lean in and tell her she is beautiful, kiss her and tell her she loves her. And she is very helpful as well. Evelynn though, loves her something FIERCE. She is a little aggressive, but you can tell it's almost as if she just loves her so much she can't control herself! So much so that we have found her sharing her bouncy seat AND carseat with her! We have also found her laying on her trying to hug her! And she says she wants to 'hold it' all the time ;) Adorable. I hope the older two understand and appreciate the big family later on in life, and do not come to resent us for the sacrifices it entails...

Evelynn sees me with a burp rag, so she will take it from me and put it on her own shoulder and want to 'hold it' up on her shoulder like mommy does ;) Too cute...

First Bath!

Gorgeous...why can't they stay this little for just a hair longer!
